How Does Flat Fee MLS Work?

With Amarillo's Discount Realty, you pay a one-time, low FLAT FEE to list your home on the Amarillo MLS. If a Real Estate Agent brings a buyer to purchase your home, you pay them a negotiated commission, generally 3% of sales price at closing out of proceeds. If you sell your own home, which you are free to do, you pay NO BUYER AGENT COMMISSION saving you even $1,000’s more!

Your home will be listed with a LOCAL agent from our office in the Amarillo MLS — AND— you still have the freedom to advertise and sell the home yourself giving you the most possible exposure for your money!

The MLS is a powerful tool to which the vast majority of LOCAL Real Estate Agents (around 1,000) subscribe, giving them instant access to all the listed Amarillo area property information. When buyers discuss their specific wants and needs with their own Real Estate Agent, the agent simply goes to the Amarillo MLS system to search for properties that matches his or her client’s wishes. If your home is on the Amarillo MLS, the Real Estate Agent will easily find it when it meets his or her client’s criteria. Some sources estimate that the MLS is responsible for 75% of home sales! You can still get the benefits of MLS without the high commission!

If another Realtor brings an acceptable offer, we are required by the Texas Real Estate Commission to provide you with full service representation for a flat fee of $1495 still saving you thousands of dollars!
